Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapan Thanee, Director of the STOU’s Regional Academic Resources and Community Engagement Center – Ubon Ratchathani recieved “Kon Dee Sri-Isan Award” in the 44th Kon Dee Sri-Isan Award at Centara Ubon Hotel, Ubon Ratchathani, on 17 August 2024. Mr. Somsak Suwansujarit, Chief Ombudsman, presided over the ceremony. The event
was organized by the Yasothon Mass Media Association in collaboration with a network of private sector partners, including the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club of Ubon and the Business and Professional Association. Kon Dee Sri-Isan Award
is one of the prestigious awards of Thailand. The award aims to support and promote good people who dedicate and sacrifice themselves for the benefit of society. Besides honesty and integrity, are encouraged to do good deeds, and maintain
an honorable standing in society. The presentation of this award has long been a unique tradition of the northeastern region of Thailand, where it is locally called “Isan”. The award ceremony is held annually, rotating among different provinces in Thailand.
