STOU donation in February 2025

On 4 February 2025, on behalf of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gan Chanyawudhiwan, Acting Vice-President for Academic Services, Cultural Preservation, and International Affairs, donated old desk calendars to
the Educational Technology Center for the Blind, Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of
H.M. the Queen. The donation was accepted by Ms. Chanidapa Petchrak, the Director of the Educational Technology Center for the Blind. The old desk calendars will be used to produce Braille-printed instructional materials.

This was the second time STOU carried out the collection of old calendars to raise awareness regarding becoming Green University. The activity could draw the attention of the university’s staff, students, and also the general public.

On the same day, the university delivered the donated cloth bags, paper bags and cosmetics to Panyananthaphikkhu Chonprathan Medical Center, which was accepted by Ms. Darunee Kunpimok, Revenue Acquisition Consultant.

Cloth bags and paper bags will be distributed to patients for taking medication home. Cosmetics will be used for applying makeup to the deceased, which is a way of repurposing leftover items instead of wasting them. The “STOU Ready to Pass On” activity is organized under the awareness project of Green University.
