On 11 February 2025, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) organized the ceremony of Makha Bucha Day, which would fall on 12 February 2025. Asst. Prof. Dr. Phanompatt Smitananda, STOU Acting President, chaired the ceremony.
The faculty members and staff of STOU joined activities, including an alms offering ceremony where dried food was given to nine monks and a Buddhist sermon listening, aiming to make wishes for the participants themselves and those they love, as well as to brush up their minds.
